I was born and raised in Ottawa, ON, and I now reside in Toronto. I'm a film geek, a video game and board game enthusiast, lover of music, theatre, visual art and design. I live for creative work. I'm not happy if I'm not making things. Currently, I own and manage Brood Studio, a business offering branding and creative services based in Liberty Village, Toronto. My in-house role is Designer and Creative Director. To my clients, I am a go-to one-stop shop for creating designs that establish or enhance their business's brand. I help entrepreneurs, small businesses, and not-for-profits build brands that are authentic, creative, and resilient. I specialize in the visual storytelling aspect of brands, developing them using logos, print, user-experience design, motion storytelling and video.
I've been a professional graphic designer for over 13 years. I've worked in most types of design positions found in my field; part of a team of designers at an agency, solo as a freelancer, in-house focusing on a single brand, and as a business owner—at one point with a small team. I have accumulated a variety of skills throughout my years as a designer, and I have found that as of yet, there has never been a problem that I wasn't able to solve. I take pride in that. I have experience working in print, online, interactive and in motion. I have a mastery of the entire Adobe Creative Suite, as well as experience with other programs like Final Cut Pro, Sketch, and Figma. Regardless of the type of project I am working on, I pour the same level of passion and dedication into each one. I always strive to find ways to improve each project I work on from the last, even when it was already effective to begin with.
